The Cyrus International Film Festival’s visual identity was designed to celebrate Toronto's vibrant multiculturalism while honoring Persian culture and Eastern aesthetics. The poster series incorporates the "window of the soul" concept, symbolized by a striking eye shape, to emphasize the power of perception and storytelling. Each poster reflects a specific theme for the festival’s key nights: teal for opening night, yellow for global cinema, and muted tones for a peaceful closing.
Key elements include custom multilingual typography, bold guest highlights, and textures inspired by Persian art, uniting the series visually. QR codes on the posters provide easy access to festival details, enhancing user experience.
The festival’s website was designed to align with the poster series, maintaining a cohesive visual identity. It highlights the vibrancy of Middle Eastern cultures through the same design elements, ensuring a seamless digital and physical experience for attendees.
